Statement of Faith

Scripture

Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, and thoroughly equipped for every good work. We have the prophetic word confirmed, which we do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in our hearts, because “All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word, which by the gospel was preached to you.
How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him. For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.
(2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Peter 1:19, 1 Peter 1:24-25, Hebrews 2:3, Romans 15:4)

God

God has revealed Himself as the Father and Creator, as Son and Savior, and as Holy Spirit and Comforter. We strongly affirm there is one God, and there is no other but He. Before Him, there was no God formed, nor shall there be after Him. The Lord our God is holy, and God is love. God is merciful, and He will not forsake us. We are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.
(Mark 12:32, Isaiah 43:10, Psalm 99:9 1 John 4:8, Deut. 4:31, Galatians 3:26)

Jesus

Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. His conception was virginal. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and He was buried, and He rose again on the third day. The risen Christ is our hope. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
(Matthew 16:16, Isaiah 7:14, 2 Cor. 5:21,1 Cor. 15:3-4, Col. 1:15, John 1:3, )

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, The third person of the trinity through whom God acts, reveals His will, and empowers individuals. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer. He convicts the world of guilt concerning sin, righteousness and judgment,
(Romans 8:11, John 16:8)

Sin

Sin is an action by which humans rebel against God, miss His purpose for their life, and surrender to the power of evil rather than to God. Scripture tells us, that we all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God, and that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
(Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23)

Salvation

Salvation is through Christ Jesus. Jesus saves us by grace, through faith. Jesus suffered and died for sinners; those who believe in him will be saved. God showed His love among us: He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. To all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave himself ransom for all men.
(Romans 10:9, 1 John 4:9-10, 1 Tim. 2:5-6)

Spiritual gifts

Spiritual Gifts are the skills and abilities, which God gives through His Spirit to all Christians, which equip Christians to serve God in the Christian community. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
(1 Cor. 12:8-11)
